09 MARCH 2012 ALL NIGHT PRAYER
(1st Session) "Release / Deliverance" by Mrs Mabirimisa Friday ALL NIGHT PRAYER, the 9th of March 2012
Mrs Mabirimisa preaching.
You may ask what deliverance is it that I am referring to as we are already free in Christ Jesus. You will understand what I mean by this title when I proceed.
Luke 19:1-10 "19 Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. 2 Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. 3 And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. 4 So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, "Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house." 6 So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. 7 But when they saw it, they all complained, saying,"He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner." 8 Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold." 9 And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; 10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."" Luke 19:1-10, NKJV.
When Jesus Christ was still on earth he was moving around the cities freeing the people that were oppressed. By doing this, He wanted the people to know that He was the son of God. Most people asked Him a lot of questions but they really did not understand Him. Jesus Christ said that He had to go so He could leave us with the Helper, referring to the Holy Spirit.
We read in the bible about Zacchaeus who was short of stature. He was amongst the crowd of people who wanted to see Jesus. He was a well to do man. I cannot imagine why, he being already filthy rich, had a hunger to see Jesus Christ. Where Zacchaeus was staying he was known as a sinner and a very bad sinner such that people could not imagine him near Jesus Christ. Zacchaeus made a plan to see Jesus and climbed upon the tree so he could see him.
When Jesus arrived at the place where Zacchaeus was, He lifted up His eyes and spoke to Zacchaeus and told him "Today I am going to dine at your place." The people were surprised as they could not understand how on earth Jesus Christ could enter the house of a sinner like Zacchaeus.
When they entered his house Zacchaeus indicated that he wanted to restore that which he had taken or stolen from people. Jesus Christ told him that salvation to his house that day. Zacchaeus lacked nothing but he had a hunger and thirst to come and see Jesus Christ. He had heard that in Jesus Christ, you can find everything.
You and me can ask ourselves questions: Is Jesus Christ going to come past by me? Zacchaeus told himself I want to see this Jesus Christ. If you love Jesus Christ He has already seen that you love Him. No matter where you are or who you are.
Let’s do an introspection into our hearts to see if our hearts are worthy so that we can be released. Don’t get to the stage where you just talk about Jesus Christ but in vain where you appear to people to love Him but in reality, inside of you, you do not mean it.
If Jesus Christ is passing by now, will He lift up His eyes and look at you? Are you approachable to people? If people can’t approach you, do you expect Jesus Christ to approach you? Let’s check our hearts and make sure that Jesus Christ will one day look up and say to us "Tonight I will dine at your place"?
If you are still gossiping, back-biting, slandering others do you expect Jesus Christ to see you? If you still accuse others as sinners, do you think that Jesus Christ will come to your place? If you still separate people and call them sinners do you expect Jesus Christ to come to you?
Jesus Christ said He will leave us with the Comforter. Every day we need good things. We know very well that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter is the one who must provide all these things, but this will be so, if we allow Him to dwell in Him. We want good things but we do not want the Holy Spirit, we do not welcome Him and He is the one who has our good things, our blessings, and our healing. Let’s go and release ourselves by welcoming Him into our lives.
Galatians 6:3-7 "For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load. Be Generous and Do Good 6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." Gal 6:3-7, NKJV.
You know yourself and you may be claiming that you are Christian. You know the truth and the only one who knows the truth about you is Jesus Christ. If you are doing this, you are putting a lot of curses upon yourself going around pretending to be a Christian whereas you ignore what the bible says to you.
Christianity is not easy just like the sycamore tree that Zacchaeus had to climb but because he was determined to get what he wanted he persevered. Let’s do the same. Let’s introspect our hearts and check ourselves so that Jesus Christ can come into our hearts.
Let’s concentrate on judging ourselves and not compare ourselves with others. Focus on making your relationship with God better and better and not on other people. Each of us is carrying his or her own load and nobody will offload your load unless you are determined you want freedom. Some are carrying the load of killing, hatred, greed, lack of love. Allow yourself to be freed. Zacchaeus was a sinner but he allowed Jesus Christ to free him and he said even if I am short I am going where Jesus Christ is. He climbed the sycamore tree and it wasn’t easy but he did not care about other people, what they thought of him or said about him. He just knew that if I climb this tree Jesus Christ will see me. That is why I am saying when you do good things Jesus Christ has already seen you.
Can Jesus Christ come into your house? Can He select you out of all the people? Obviously there were many Christians in that place but Jesus Christ did not choose them, He chose Zacchaeus. This is because Zacchaeus heard something good about Jesus Christ and he wanted to see this Jesus Christ. Allow yourself to be freed. Don’t waste your time. You may have been in church many years preaching and doing a lot of things but allow yourself to be freed.
7 But when they saw it, they all complained, saying,"He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner." 8 Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold." 9 And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; 10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."" (2nd Session) “Where are you?” by Pastor Patrick Lishivha, Friday ALL NIGHT PRAYER, the 9th of March 2012.
If you sleep on a comfortable bed to rest your body you must also take care of your spirit the same way.
There are many millionaires out there but they are poor millionaires because they do not have Christ in their lives.
If you are in Christ because you have run to Him then your stay in Him is temporary, you must make your abode with Him not just run to Him. Don’t be like Lot’s wife who looked back and became a heap of salt.
Joshua 24:2
"2 And Joshua said to all the people, "Thus says the Lord God of Israel:'Your fathers, including Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, dwelt on the other side of the River in old times; and they served other gods.” Josh 24:2, NKJV.
Be who you are with everyone. God created you in His image and you must love yourself. Many people say they believe God but they still want to mix with other gods.
Come to God as you are and He will accept you as you are. He is the one that will help you with the transformation process.
Jacob the deceiver deceived his brother twice and nothing was going well for him. He was robbed by Laban many times. The day came when he had to apologise to his brother, but because he was scared of what his brother might do to him, he sent his family to go first ahead of him. He was going to ask for forgiveness wholeheartedly and God sent an angel and Jacob wrestled with that angel the whole night.
Learn to forgive those who have wronged you and to forget. Some people have bowed never to forgive others.
Saul was tormenting Christians and the day he met the Lord he was changed from Saul to Paul. Before he was angry and vicious and wanted to kill Christians. He did not throw way that anger and viciousness when he became Paul but he used it for the kingdom of God.
Do people wish they were fellowshipping with you? When we are baptised we become new creations. We must be Christians who are really transformed in our lives. As we are now children of God, we do not know who we have become but when He appears we will see what we will become. Let not the common factor between us be ethnicity but Jesus Christ. We are Christians irrespective of the language we speak.
Parents, how do you love your children? Do you love them the same way or do you give them the same love? Do you treat them the same way?
Most of us had to remove our names from ancestral worship altars but you still find people who are Christians going to these altars again and you even find some churches that justify ancestral worship.
There are many deceivers in the world, those who do not believe that Jesus Christ came to this world in the flesh and died for us, for our sins.
2 John 7
“7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” 2 John 7, NKJV.
If we are here and claim to be Christians and there are people out there who meet us when they go to consult sangomas who are we really? We must change from our old lives and live the new life of Christ. Let’s forsake the old ‘us’. The bible says come let’s reason together, even though your sins are red as scarlet.
Do we still compromise and say as long as I don’t believe in this ancestral worship whilst participating in the rituals and the ceremonies to ancestors? We cannot serve two gods. When the bible says there are deceivers some of us are those deceivers. Let’s us change.
Adam and Eve never had to pray because they could see and meet God face to face. After they sinned they ran away and said “I heard your footsteps and ran away” This means that when we sin we expose ourselves and are left naked. Are you dressed or are you naked? Let’s change and move.
What is our culture? You hear many people say I am still doing the rituals of my family and I also go to church. According to our Constitution it is not wrong but we are not regulated by the Constitution but by the bible. Where are you? This is the question that God asked Adam. Where are you? If you still conform to the fleshly desires then where are you? Are you still visiting places and altars of ancestral worship?
We must change our lives and move from where we have been all along. We have heard about pastors who use muti in order to attract people to their churches. We put our trust and rely upon the Living God only. He is the source of our power and strength.
When some people are in trouble they say we must help God and go and consult our ancestors. How can we help the Lords of lords, God Almighty?
Some burn the items they use for ancestral worship but after some time they go back to it. How can you go back to the devil? The bible says resist the devil and he will flee. How can we fight the devil when we still go and ask for help from the devil? When we consult sangomas we are unclean and filthy and how can we go to God that way? The bible says cleanliness is next to Godliness. The bible says I will reward each according to his works. If you mix God and gods you will get your reward.
If you sow good, you will reap good. Adam where are you?
We can see your body in church but where is your mind? Where are you?
If you go to a church that is really serving the true Lord stay there to avoid going to the wrong places. There are many churches out there that are not of God.
How many people are you misleading by your actions and taking them to death? How many people are you leading to safety to eternal life in God?
Some of the people live two lives, the one in church and the one out there which the people in church do not know of.
Where are you? God is everywhere all the time ad He knows all and can see all. We can’t hide from God. God said to Abraham “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you”. Let’s pray for the presence of the Lord to be with us all the time.
Where are you? Let’s know where we are and where we are going. We serve a living God. Bring other people to the house of God. Don’t be greedy. God is not greedy; He is a jealous God who doesn’t want to share us with gods, with the devil.
From the time you were baptised, how has your life been? Did you not change along the way and diverted from God’s paths? If you have, God says come and let’s reason together, even though your sins are red as scarlet.
Let’s pray and ask God where we are supposed to be and to be able to see the deceivers before they can deceive us.
There are many millionaires out there but they are poor millionaires because they do not have Christ in their lives.
