“It is only God who knows” by Mrs Johana Mukhavhuli,
Mrs Johana Mukhavhuli: old photo.
Scripture reading: Ezekiel 37:1-3
“The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" So I answered, "O Lord God, You know." Ezek 37:1-3, NKJV.
The bible says Prophet Ezekiel says the hand of the Lord carried him by the spirit of the Lord and took him to a valley full of bones. It means that when it would rain the rain would rain on those bones ad when it would be hot the sun was heating them. This means that these bones were very white. God asked Prophet Ezekiel “Can these bones live? These bones that are totally white and dry and devoid of any life within them can they live?”
“It is only God who knows”. When asked this question he answered “Lord only you know.”
Exodus 3:7-11
“7 And the Lord said:"I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. 8 So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. 9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt." 11 But Moses said to God,"Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?" Ex 3:7-11, NKJV.
We read about Moses and our topic is “It is only God who knows”. We don’t know anything but the God that we pray knows. The bible says when the cries of the Israelites was come up to the Lord He saw their suffering and their crying and the pain they were enduring and the bible says God knew. God said to Moses “I am sending you now to Pharaoh to release my people out of the land of Egypt.” The bible says Moses asked God “Who am I to go and stand before Pharaoh? Pharaoh is cruel.” God said to him, “I will be with you.” This is because God had prepared Moses for so many years. Whilst they were suffering God was looking and seeing it and was preparing Moses. God knew that one day He would arise and be manifested to the Israelites.
When God called Moses, Moses was out in the pasture and God said “You are in a holy place.” Even though Moses had killed an Egyptian God knew that He had prepared him to release the people. God saw their suffering and pain and knew.
Prophet Ezekiel said to God “God it is you who knows”. When in your life, you are facing so many problems God knows your suffering, your pain, your situation.
Psalm 139:16
“16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.” Ps 139:16, NKJV.
The eyes of God saw my substance as yet being unformed and everything was recorded about me and you. God knew about these problems that we are facing now but we are impatient because we do not know about Him knowing. God ordered that you be born to your mom and dad. You may be angry with your situation but God knew.
God said to Prophet Ezekiel “Can these bones live?” He said “Only you know God.” Prophet Ezekiel was telling the truth and as he was talking to God he did not give God the answer. He knew the real answer but chose not to tell God that “The God that we pray can do it, the same God who took our people out of Egypt, out of their suffering can do it.” The same God who sent Moses to Pharaoh.
Moses asked God “Who am I to stand in front of Pharaoh?” But God knew that he was prepared and that he can stand before Pharoah.
Your problem may be an old one, you may have been crying for a long time but only God knows why. It is not happening by accident. God knew this from way back.
God said to Jeremiah “I knew you before you were in your mother’s womb. I will make you a prophet for the nations.”
God may even be tired of your cries and your wailing but it is only God who knows. Tonight may be your night. “It is only God who knows”. One of the days you may come to testify and say that very night was my day for my suffering to end, your sickness to be healed. It may be your day.
If God could see the suffering of the Israelites He can see yours and as He said to Moses “Enough is enough” God has heard enough about your problem and tonight may be your night to be delivered. “It is only God who knows”. He even knows the number of the hairs on our heads. He says even when the temptation comes there is a way out. He says that when trials come they are not above us. No matter how big they may be there is a way out. Tonight there is a way out, there is way out.
Tell God ‘You heard the Israelites, we are your children, we are the lineage of Israel and we come before you with our problems. Lord Help us”.
You may be a youth and the enemy may have stolen something from you, your wisdom, your joy, call unto God and He will hear just like He heard Israelites.
This God prepared us for this life. We did not know anything but He knows. Go before Him with all your heart and He will hear you.

“Prayer Points” by Pastor Bridgette Nengome
Ps Bridgete Nengome; old photo.
1. Pray for all the churches
Rom 15:5-7
“5 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Glorify God Together 7 Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.” Rom 15:5-7, NKJV.
The body of Christ is made of all the churches. Let’s pray for each other as the different churches. Christ died for the body of Christ not for a particular church. Pray also for the spirit of unity in the different churches.
2. Restoring broken fellowship
2 Corinthians 5: 18
“18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,” 2 Cor 5:18, NKJV.
We point fingers at each other and say “Those are not doing the right thing.” It is our responsibility to come to them and show them the right way. We must fellowship with one another and help each other to know the right and correct doctrines.
3. Pray for all the churches
James 4:7
“7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7, NKJV.
4. Being transformed by the truth.
John 6:63
“63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63, NKJV.
Today’s word is meant and prepared for us by God. When the word of God comes it is to transform us by the truth and we need to know and understand this fact.
5. Praying for the Crusade at Mphambo
A crusade is not an easy task. Let’s pray for the man of God and those who will be assisting in the crusade against all the altars that are speaking against them and the crusade so that they can be destroyed and rendered of no force and effect.
6. Praying for the Men’s Night Prayer
Let’s pray that all the men may be able to attend. The fathers are the heads of the families and so when they lead us they must lead us in a way that must not make us to go astray. After this night prayer we must see something knew or something good coming out of this night prayer.
7. Praying our Worship Team
John 4: 23
“23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” John 4:23, NKJV.
We must pray for our worship team so that when they worship they will please God. It is our duty to pray for them so that when they praise and worship God our Father in heaven must be able to rejoice with us.
8. Praying for the Easter Holidays
There is a saying that the children of the world are wiser than the children of the light. We may think that the Easter Holidays are far but they are not. The children of the kingdom of darkness have already started to sow against these Holidays.
As children of God we must pray against anything that they plant against the children of God to be nullified and made of no force and effect. Let’s pray that whatever the enemy has planned during these holidays should not come to pass in Jesus’ name.
Let’s pray also for all those who will be travelling by whatever mode of transportation. We know that on the roads there are evil blood banks waiting for the blood of the people. Let’s pray against these blood banks. The enemy has already sent evil arrows of death to some of the people and is saying that they will not make it home. Let’s cancel these plans and the arrows of the enemy in Jesus’ name.
9. Praying for release from any shadow of death during the Easter Holidays
Psalm 23:4
“4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Ps 23:4, NKJV.
10. Blessing of the community and the nations
Numbers 6:23-27
“3 "Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, 'This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: 24 "The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; 26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace."' 27 "So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them."” Num 6:23-27, NKJV.
11. Praying for our children
As the children will be closing at school, let’s pray that when they are on holidays they will have something that will keep them busy as the enemy is watching, looking for ways to deceive and catch them so he can destroy them or their lives. Ask for divine protection and divine intervention over their lives in Jesus’ name.
12. Praying for the Deliverance and Dedication Teams
Let’s pray for them so that they work in unity. Let no one be used by the enemy to come and scatter what God has put in place.
13. Praying for the Deliverance and Dedication Teams
Philippians 4:13
“13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phil 4:13,
NKJV.
Let’s pray for the man of God so that through Christ He’ll be strengthened and so that when he comes back he must be on another higher and better level.
14. Thanksgiving for these prayers
Let’s thank God for today’s prayers and for the word of God that was delivered today in Jesus’ name.
