“God open my eyes so I can see! ” by Pastor Johan Mukhavhuli, Wednesday Service, the 9th April 2013.
Ps Johana Mukhavhuli preaching.
Scripture reading: 1 Cor 13:11-12 “11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.” NKJV.
We read about Paul, talking to the church in Corinth, “When I was young I used to speak, and act like a child. Everything I did was childish, even though I was a man.”
He is saying this whilst he is a matured man. “I used to behave like a child. We know how childish children can be. They like attention; they don’t care about the crowds.”
Paul says “I was like this” his thoughts were childish, he realised that this childish life was not taking him anywhere.
The bible says this childish lifestyle was afflicting Christians: he would go around persecuting them, killing them. His actions were childish. It was because he was blind, even though he was fully grown up. The kind of lifestyle made Christians to run away from him.
They had to hide their Christianity because of him. He was furious against the children of God. He was persecuting Jesus Christ, the one who came down for you and me and even this Paul. Paul was blind; he could not see that this was for his benefit.
He was like a hero to the people who did not love Christians. Paul says “I used to live like a child.” He says “Now I can see”.
The word of God says that when he was busy persecuting Jesus Christ, not caring that Jesus Christ was crucified for him, that He was resurrecting the wounds of Jesus Christ. He wanted to please the Jews and his companions. Some were feeling pain, some were enjoying this actions of Paul.
They commended him for arresting Christians: “there is something I can do to make sure that I do this killing and persecution freely.” He went to the high priests to obtain authority to persecute the Christians freely. He wanted to remove all the obstacles his way so that he could afflict the Christians freely.
He was busy (read Acts 9) persecuting Jesus Christ, enjoying it, not caring at all but one of the days whilst on the way to persecute Christians He met Jesus Christ. He was with his companions. On this day, he never knew that this was his last day, maybe they even had lunch tins, “If we can find Christians we will bind them, afflict them, kill them.”
When he was about to approach Damascus, Jesus Christ said “No, Paul! I have given you enough time!” The lightning struck and the very same Jesus he took somehow, the one he wanted to persecute, Paul asks Him “Lord what do you want me to do?”
“Jesus what do you want me to do? What do you want me to do?” The boasting was gone. He was unable to
do anything. God had taken away his power. Then Paul says, “I used to be a child, but now I can see. I can discern things, I have matured. I am unlike yesterday. The lightning had done its work.”
When the Lord struck him, he changed. His blindness was gone and he started to see. He could see that these one are of God, these ones don’t know God, these ones need help. His mind was broader, matured.
He was no longer just living like a child. Whatever he was supposed to do, he would do it fully and in a matured way. A child needs too much caring, wants to be carried on the back, needs too much attention but it is not so with a grown up man. We can live, whilst binding Jesus Christ, whilst persecuting Jesus Christ. When He looks at us He is feels pain because of our lifestyles and our hearts.
People backslide in church, still doing all that they are supposed to do but in a backslidden state.
The bible says Saul was well read and educated; he knew the bible well but still he persecuted Jesus Christ and the Jews encouraged him in this.
If you allow Jesus Christ to touch your life, you will change and you will see, you won't look behind in regret wanting to go back.
Nowadays people come to church every Sunday, offering and tithing but without Jesus Christ in their lives. They just do it for the sake of doing it. When the pastor preaches, I pull the other side. This is because I am blind. When the servant of the Lord does something wrong you are happy because now you have something to talk about. If the hand of the Lord can touch you, you will change and mature.
When Jesus Christ was from Jericho, He asked “What is the noise I hear?” they told him it was the blind man, he was shouting, “Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I want to see. Son of David, I want to see”.
They told him “Shut up!” Jesus Christ will hear you even when you are in the midst of a crowd. This evening you can cry out to the Lord: “Lord I want to see again! Help me, so I can see, I used to see. I want to see again.” Jesus Christ will do His part.
Paul was able to see after the lightning struck him; he could see those suffering, the sick, etc
This evening, when you are touched, your eyes will open. Cry out to him but if you are blind, you can even do things that even you yourself do not understand. Stand up and say “Jesus Christ, it is me again: touch me again. If you touch me, I will not be like yesterday; I will change, so that I can even understand myself.”
God is saying you and your heart can see again. Like blind Bartimeous You can say Lord “I can no longer see, I want to see again. I want to see with my spiritual eyes that can see ahead.”

Prayer Points by Pastor Patricia Mavhandu, Wednesday Service, the 9th April 2013.
Ps Patricia Mavhandu leading prayers.
1.
Confession of sins
Ps 51:1-2 “51 Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.” NKJV.
2. Crushing the enemies
Help us to God to grow strong and to crush all the enemies and let them never rise again.
Deut 33:11 “11 Bless his substance, Lord, And accept the work of his hands; Strike the loins of those
who rise against him, And of those who hate him, that they rise not again."” NKJV.
3. In the name of the Lord
Address your Goliath: I come against you in the name Lord God Almighty!
1 Sam 17:45 “45 Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and
with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.” NKJV.
4. Fighting the fight of faith
Give me ability to fight a fight of faith.
5. Good ambassadors of Christ
There are ambassadors of this world who are working hard to bring down the kingdom of God.
God help me to be a good ambassador, ambassador of Christ not ambassadors of this world.
6. Provide us with wisdom, knowledge and understanding
Oh God, provide us with wisdom, knowledge and understanding outside that I can stand for your
word.
7. No weapon fashioned against shall prosper
There are plans that the devil makes against our lives. When it is night time, when they go to their meetings, they go to plan against our lives. Mostly Christians have more challenges than any other person. They understand that we are the ones troubling them.
They want us to doubt out God. Our God is forever here. We are going to pray: all plans of the enemy shall abort in Jesus’ name. No weapon fashioned against shall prosper. Whether to destroy our families, our children, etc let them abort in Jesus’ name.
8. Thank God for His grace
When we hear some things, it is scary and you will realise that we are living under the grace of God which is protecting us, e.g. when we hear that an Indian killed a fellow Indian. Ask yourself, how did I escape? What about the man who was thrown out of the car in front of witness, after asking for a lift, it is by grace.
God you are the one who will help me to make it, it is you who can destroy the mountains before me. We thank you for your grace. Increase your grace.
9. Reject the dessert situation
Sometimes it looks we are living in the desert. Psalm 63. I don’t know in what dessert you are. If you are there:
speak to your God, I am not supposed to live in this desert, where there is no water, no shade, I am burning from all sides. I don’t deserve this.
God help us.
10. Prayer point one
You may say, I am not wise enough to know how my life goes. The word of God says fear not. The bible says make room for trust in the Lord. Have faith in God and He will provide for you.
Hebrews 11:1-6 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Faith at the Dawn of History (Gen 4:1-16; 5:18-24; 6:5-8:22) 4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. 5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who
diligently seek Him.” NKJV.
God, I want my faith to be lifted up from where it is. Your word say I must not fear, so I need to stand strong so I can be rewarded.
11. Against fearJob 3:20-26 “20 "Why is light given to him who is in misery, And life to the bitter of soul, 21 Who long for death, but it does not come, And search for it more than hidden treasures; 22 Who rejoice exceedingly, And are glad when they can find the grave? 23 Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden, And whom God has hedged in? 24 For my sighing comes before I eat, And my groanings pour out like water. 25 For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me. 26 I am not at ease, nor am I quiet; I have no rest, for trouble comes."’’ NKJV.
Don’t allow fear to grow. Grace for the fear in your life to die, so that it is your faith that grows. Sometimes we feel like we have faith but when the storms come we become fearful so that is why we need to ask God so that our faith may grow.
12. Your touch of mercy oh Lord
Oh Lord, touch me again tonight, with your hand of mercy.
13. Closure of satanic highways
Oh Lord, as I go to bed tonight, I command everything satanic highway of attacks to close now by
fire in Jesus’ name.
14. My helpers
Oh Lord, plant my thoughts and desires in the heart and intentions he minds of my helpers tonight in the name of Jesus Christ.
15. Reveal secret things to me
Oh Lord, reveal to me the secret things that I need to know.
God, reveal the secrets of the enemy against you so that the kingdom of darkness may not play with our lives.
16. For our children
As they are attending schools not only schools that are far away but even near to home.
Most of the items sold on the streets are under the kingdom of darkness, even headphones with the symbols of the devil, they are anointed by the devil. Our children are buying and using these things, eating the food. Let’s pray for God’s protection, so that if the buy the wrong food, they should vomit it.
17. Completion of our building project
So that God can help us complete our building project.
18. Praying for our leaders; our chiefs, headman, our president
If we don’t pray for them, we will not live a peaceable life. We know that some of them don’t know God.
God, let it be You who will go and speak to them. Left your word always be intentions their ears until such time that they hear and obey you Oh Lord.
19. Praying for the servant of the Lord
Pray for our pastors. Let God protect them against all forms of attacks, in respect of their
families etc.
20. For the spirit of love
I ask myself, this love spoken of in 1 Corinthians 13, do I have this, do I practice this? I may sometimes deceive myself and think I have it, I practice it whilst it is not so.
When we get to heaven and we are on opposite sides with our relative: is it love? When you are in heaven and they are in hell? We must continue to pray for this love to be within me, so I can have compassion on everybody who needs
love.
21. Thanksgiving
Let’s thank God, we were crying unto Him for help, asking Him to provide certain things to us etc
We know by faith that God has heard and that He is busy with our requests.
We must bow before Him and give Him worship because we know that He has heard us in Jesus’ name.

Jesus Christ thank you for the blood that was shared for me. The blood is sufficient BUT I want
manifestation
o Allow me to deal directly with dad;
o Dad; I WANT YOU TO INTERVENE;
AND I BIND WITH YOU THIS “SEED”.
We have bound the devil enough; let us deal directly with our Creator, Mudzimu wa Israel, vhone a vha balelwi nga tshithu. (You are the God of Israel and there is nothing impossible with you.)
Fhedzi (but) the word of God binds you; I challenge that word with the seed.
You respect sacrifices and seeds.
God there are sacrifices, evil sacrifices speaking against me, I want to silence them, nullify them but with a HOLY SEED, HOLY SACRIFICE unto you Not of blood, my own pain.
Your fasting and prayers are not enough, they were not enough for God when He had to shed blood: give something that makes you feel pain (bleeding form your heart).
The world knows this:
Christians: wake up and smell the coffee:- ndi nga si rabelelwe pain kha mutana every church service Mudzimu wanga a vha balelwi, (I can’t be prayed for back pain every church service) THERE IS SOMETHING,
DEAL WITH IT. ACT
What do you have that you did not get from God? NOTHING!
