“Don’t Give Up” by Pastor Vincent Mmbadaliga, Wednesday Service, the 11th April 2012.
http://kutamaphc.wordpress.com/
If we continue in the word we will never be deceived. We will reap what we have sown.
In everything that you do don’t give up.
Gal 6:7-10
“7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Gal 6:7-10, NKJV.
01 Our decision determines the kind of harvest that you will reap.
A man reaps what he sows. This is a very crucial message as what we sow in this world is what we will reap. If we sow the wrong seeds / things it means we will harvest the bad things. We must always do well. Your decision will determine the type of harvest you will reap.
In life we have been given a chance to choose between what is wrong and what is right. The choice is yours and after choosing don’t blame others. You made a choice to come here; those who are in the taverns chose to go there.
Let’s look at the example of Esther. A young lady under the care of Mordecai. The Israelites were in bondage under the Persians. She was advised never to reveal her identity and she adhered thereto.
The queen refused to follow her husband’s instruction and as a result she was stripped of her throne as a Queen. A decision was taken that a new queen was required and young maidens, Esther included, came and paraded before the king and at the end of the day, Esther was chosen as the new Queen.
She may have chosen to reveal her identity as a Jew. She did not. We have a similar identity, that we are the descendants of Abraham. This is our identity but you may still have other identities that are binding you and holding you back. That is why you are a baby Christian. You don’t want to forsake this, when people say you are Christian you still say I am a Venda, a Zulu, A Xhosa. If Jesus Christ knew that the Venda, Zulu are doing the right things in God or would do the right things, He would not have come to die for us.
Haman was killed in the very same place where Haman wanted the Jews to be killed. This is because Esther chose not to disclose her identity.
Eph 2:15
“15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,” Eph 2:15, NKJV.
02 Your decision has an impact on others
Your decision impacts on others. It can hurt them with or without your intention to hurt them. Sometimes it can even cause damage that you cannot avoid.
When we take a decision we must check if it is not going to affect other people: e.g your children, your parents. Some parents have committed suicide because their children took decisions that they could not live with and they opted to die instead.
I did not want to be a teacher. My father who was very ill indicated that I needed to have a profession. When he was very sick, I felt that maybe my Father, was sick because of me refusing to become a teacher. People said “Why don’t you go and apply?” I went to apply and got the forms and went to show the forms to my father, at the hospital and he smiled a very wide smile. My decision had an impact on other people.
In the bible we read about Achan who stole accursed items. He caused the Israelites to be defeated. His theft caused a problem as he had stolen accursed things. The result was that the Israelites were defeated by the Amorites. When Joshua asked God why? The secret was revealed. The decision of Achan affected the whole nation. They ended up killing Achan and his family, and burnt his possessions. The decision he had taken had an impact on the Israelites.
So please check the decisions that you make. Children don’t kill your parents because of the decision that you make. Some lie and say they are still virgins when it is not true. The health of some of the parents is affected by the children’s decision.
03 Forgiveness may not cancel the consequences of your decision
You may be forgiven but the punishment for your sin will still come. God will forgive you but the punishment will come.
Let’s take the e.g. of King David. He admitted that he had sinned. Nathan said to him, “Yes your sin is forgiven but your child will die.” King David had planted a seed of adultery and the harvest was the death of the child. In some families people blame witches and wizards whereas it is the parents who are causing the death of their children because of their sins.
2 Samuel 12:13-14
“13 So David said to Nathan,"I have sinned against the Lord." And Nathan said to David, "The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die. 14 However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die."” 2 Sam 12:13-1, NKJV.
If you don’t want to reap don’t sow. Rather not sow than sow bad or evil seeds. the bible says Gal 6:8 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, Gal 6:8, NKJV.
Most often we read in the newspapers that most of the people holding senior positions are corrupt. This is because they have sown in corruption and therefore reap the harvest of corruption.
You may favour one person over another who deserves something just because it is your relative. You will reap the harvest thereof. There are many people who have many wives, people say “This man is helping the nation” even at his funeral they will praise him. This man was corrupt. People think they are enjoying a good life whereas it is them who are being corrupted.
The people who were enjoying life are people like Paul who were carrying the cross of Christ.
Ephesians 1:13-14.
“13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” Eph 1:13-14, NKJV.
Many will say we have healed many in your name and casted demons in your name and He will say “I don’t know you”. This is because other people are using the spirit that is not of God, annointing that is not of God. The bible says that the Holy Spirit is the guarantee that we are His.
Matthew 24:24
“24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Matt 24:24, NKJV.
The bible says many will perform miracles. Don’t follow somebody because He is performing miracles without knowing the source of his power. Everybody will reap what he sows. No one can reap the harvest of another person.
Gal 6:9
“9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Gal 6:9, NKJV.
If you sow in the spirit you will harvest but if you sow in the flesh you will reap corruption and end up in hell.
Gal 6:10
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Gal 6:10, NKJV.
This refers to the people in church, the people with the same faith as us i.e. where Jesus Christ is the head of the church and the pastor is the captain of the church. Jesus Christ is the owner of the church. If the pastor is the owner of the church then you will have a problem.
2 John 7
“7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” 2 John 7, NKJV.
1 John 4:5
“5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.” 1 John 4:5, KJV.
When you are in the correct path of the Lord you must never give up. Men like Judas Iscariot gave up. Many thought that Jesus Christ was growing to overthrow the government and become the king. That is why many got fed up with Jesus Christ, they wanted power. It was only when the Holy Spirit came upon them that they understood and were given the mandate to go out and preach to the world and that those who believe and are baptised will be followed by this particular signs.
This doesn’t mean that you must test God.
If you see many green flies running to meat don’t follow them as that meat is rotten. Many are spending money to go and follow the green flies. The bible says the road to the kingdom of God is narrow. If you see crowds flocking to a place you must know that it is not the right place, it is not about the kingdom of God.
We need the spirit of discernment. You can discern some of these false churches by checking what the bible says about the false prophets.
The bible also tells us about Lot’s wife. She was running but she turned and looked back and could not reach the place of safety, which is likened unto heaven, and she became a pillar of salt. Don’t die along the way and not reach heaven. Don’t give up! Never give up. Pray all the time, worship the Lord and Praise Him.
The ministry of Jesus was healing and preaching, so check the ministries you to go to, are they are doing what Jesus was doing and in the power of the Lord?
The one who protects and heals through man-made things is not the God we are talking about. The problem is that we see many Christians who are in church but still they carry the things of the god of this world for healing and deliverance. They are like Lot’s wife. She was not saved as she became a pillar of salt. Many start the race well but along the way they become pillars of salt.
Remember that the devil can empower you through his ways and methods. Let’s always pray for ourselves, our children and fellow brethren so that they will not give up. Don’t give up.

“Prayer Points” by Mr Ramuhulu.
Mr Ramuhuyu leading the prayer points.
ClicLet us start by confessing our sins before the Lord. Let us start by asking for His mercy.
“Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your loving kindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions.” Ps 51:1, NKJV.
The love of this God is unfailing.
John 21:15
“15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs." John 21:15, NKJV. Do you love God more than this, Do you love Him even when things are not going well for you?
01. For the building project
Psalm 127:1
“Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.” Psalm 127:1, NKJV. Call upon the Lord to come and build this structure. Any money coming from any source that is not of God must fail right now.
02. For the installation of Pastor Kgatse on Sunday as Pastor
Let’s pray as a church and ask God Almighty the creator, for His divine intervention for this important assignment. The devil doesn’t want this.
03. Waiting upon the Lord
Isaiah 40:31
“31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isa 40:31, NKJV.
Christians do not want to wait upon the Lord. The youth don’t want to wait. This is the challenge of today. People want things instantly. They want them now or today. This makes today’s Christian not to succeed. We have giants in the bible like Hannah. Peninah and her children laughed at Hannah because she did not have children. People may be laughing at you for whatever reason.
Let’s pray against the spirit of impatience.
04. Faith
Today’s Christians do not have faith. We believe but we don’t believe with faith.
1 Samuel 17:10-11
“10 And the Philistine said, "I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together." 11 When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.” 1 Sam 17:10-11, NKJV.
When David got there he found the Israelites and the king shivering in the face of the enemy. Can you stand and face the enemy and say who is this uncircumcised Philistine?
1 Sam 17:32 “32 Then David said to Saul,"Let no man's heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine."” 1 Sam 17:32, NKJV.
Ps 95:1 “Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.” Ps 95:1, NKJV
“Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your loving kindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions.” Ps 51:1, NKJV.
