Message on Wed, 7th December 2011 "What is a Christian's Life?" by Rev
Samuel Mametsa -
Phillipians 3:8-9; Phillipians 1:1; 1 John 3:16; Romans 5;17; Romans 15: 1-7,
2 Corinthins 4: 5,18. A Christians's life revolves around sacrificing oneself for the benefit of others just like Jesus Christ sacrificed His life for our sake. We have to sacrifice our bodies to ensure that we do not become obstacles to the will of God because we are tired, lazy, sick etc.
Jesus Christ only and only Him is the only true Lord and saviour all other names and things are futile (refuse). Let's prioritise the kingdom of God above all else knowing that all else is not only futile but is temporary. We must spend time in and with Jesus Christ so that we may know Him and His will.
We must not be tossed to and fro by the winds of wrong doctrines like children but must always stand on the word of God. This means that we must study and spend time on the word.
Too many things are happening to Christians as the are not committed to God, they only want what He can provide but not Him. They do ot want to do anything for God. The want to instruct God to do what they want. The never give God a chance to express His plans and will and yet when they are in trouble they run to His pastors to help them.
Jesus loves us but He wants people who are committed to Him. We should stop nullifying His death on the cross through our sinful lives, laziness in God, lack of love. We are crucifying Him over and over again by denying Him.
